The Department of Public Works, located at 320 Hay Road includes five separate divisions: Sanitation/Recycling, Roads, Facilities Maintenance, Vehicle Maintenance, and Transportation (Dial-A-Ride) Divisions.
Other services include Mosquito Control, Clean Communities Program Coordination, Limited Lagoon Maintenance, Stormwater Management Program Coordination, and Gypsy Moth Control Pogram Coordination.

The Stafford Township Department has applied for Accreditation by the American Public Works Association. The Accreditation process includes a self-assessment of the departments policies and procedures, Improvement phase, Site visit and inspection, and finally accreditation. Currently there are 51 accredited agencies across the country. There are no agencies accredited in the State of New Jersey.

The Stafford Township Dial-A-Ride is a free service available to Stafford Residents. The system operates within the boundries of Stafford Township.

Dial-A-Ride Schedule
Stafford Township operates a Mosquito Control Program. The program targets the adult mosquito. The department utilizes two vehicle mounted Ultra Low Volume (ULV) Sprayers. Spraying is conducted within the guidelines of a permit issued annually by the NJDEP Pesticide Control Program. All spraying activities have concluded for the 2008 season.

Beekeeper Information
The NJ Department of Agriculture is the lead agency for Gypsy Moth Control in New Jersey. The NJDOA conducts egg mass surveys to determine if any areas are in need of control. Stafford Township participates in this program. Complaints from residents are forwarded to the NJDOA for investigation. If an aerial spray is necessary in the township, Stafford Township is responsible to budget for all costs. However, the NJDOA conducts and controls the aerial spraying program. If you have any questions about the program contact the Department of Public Works. The 2008 Spray Blocks for Stafford Township were sprayed on Tuesday May 27, 2008. There will be no further spray activities for 2008.
