The Stafford Township Recreation Department and the Stafford Historical Society welcome you to attend a historical and educational museum open house. We will be paying tribute to the past 55 years of Founders Day and Stafford Township history.
The event will take place in both Manahawkin Lake Park and Heritage Park. You are invited to stroll the grounds of these 2 parks and tour the Old Baptist Church, Old Stone Store and the Manahawkin Train Station of the Tuckerton Railroad. You will be able to tour the buildings as well as view film footage and photos of past Founders Days. We will also have video presentations of archived interviews of some of Stafford’s most revered founding residents. Stafford Township’s official historian Tim Hart will be giving walking tours of old downtown that are sure to be colorful and educational.
As you stroll the winding paths of the two parks we welcome you to stop by the Lake Manahawkin Pavilion to listen to music. There will also be an opportunity to purchase a bite to eat, a cup of fresh brewed coffee, a funnel cake or even lunch on the go. We will have fresh fall flowers and produce for sale.
