NOTICE OF PENDING BOND ORDINANCE
The bond ordinance, the summary terms of which are included herein, was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the governing body of the Township of Stafford, in the County of Ocean, New Jersey (the “Township”), held on March 31, 2026. It will be further considered for final passage after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of said governing body to be held in the Municipal Complex, 260 E. Bay Avenue, Manahawkin, New Jersey, on April 28, 2026, at 7:00 pm., or as soon thereafter as said matter can be reached, at which time and place all persons who may be interested therein will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the same.
A copy of this ordinance has been posted on the bulletin board upon which public notices are customarily posted in the Municipal Complex of the Township during the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting; copies of the ordinance are available to the general public of the Township who shall request such copies, at the office of the Municipal Clerk in said Township of Stafford, in the County of Ocean, New Jersey. The summary of the terms of such bond ordinance follows:
Title: BOND ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR VARIOUS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND THE ACQUISITION OF VARIOUS CAPITAL EQUIPMENT, APPROPRIATING $5,973,500 THEREFOR AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $5,674,825 BONDS AND NOTES TO FINANCE A PORTION OF THE COSTS THEREOF, AUTHORIZED IN AND BY THE TOWNSHIP OF STAFFORD, IN THE COUNTY OF OCEAN, NEW JERSEY.
Purpose(s): Providing for the following capital acquisitions and/or improvements: (i) acquisition of a rack body truck and 2 replacement automated trash trucks for the DPW; (ii) acquisition of replacement trashcans and various equipment for the DPW, Road Division, Vehicle Maintenance Division, and Buildings and Grounds Division; (iii) repairs and updates to Township buildings as needed; (iv) improvements to Lighthouse Park, including additional parking; (v) additional parking and security at the Stafford Park Substation; (vi) various improvements to the Police Department parking lot; (vii) acquisition of a replacement fire command vehicle; (viii) acquisition of a pickup/van/utility vehicle for the DPW; (ix) acquisition of a replacement vehicle for the Building Department; (x) acquisition of replacement vehicles and various equipment for the Police Department, including, but not limited to, police sport SUVs, firearms, body worn cameras, radios, a drone, and various other police equipment; (xi) acquisition of a replacement ambulance and replacement equipment for EMS; (xii) acquisition of various equipment for the Fire Department, including, but not limited to, replacement turnout gear, cylinders, hoses, and radios; (xiii) acquisition of various network administration equipment, including, but not limited to, computers, servers, cameras, and IT related equipment; (xiv) bulk records scanning; and (xv) engineering work for various Township projects.
