New Law: Child Passenger Restraint - Effective September 2015

Did you know?

• Traffic Collisions are the leading cause of death in kids between 5 - 17 years old. (CDC 2013)
• Most child restraints are misused mainly by using the wrong seat, loose harness or attached incorrectly. Studies show the misuse of a child restraint is between 72% - 84% (NHTSA and various Field reporting).
• The Stafford Police Department has officers familiar with child restraint systems and can provide 1 on 1 instruction on proper Selection, Direction, Location, Installation and proper harnessing.
