OPRA Requests

In accordance with the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), Stafford Township provides access to government records to ensure transparency and accountability.

Submitting an OPRA Request

Stafford Township now has a designated Records Custodian within the Police Department.

  • Police Department Records: All OPRA requests for police-related records can be submitted directly through the Police Department’s Designated Custodian using the following form:

  • All Other Departments: Requests for records from any other Township department should be submitted through the Municipal Clerk’s Office using the link below:

To submit an OPRA request, please click the appropriate link and follow the instructions to complete the request form, then email to the record custodian designated on the form.

Important Notice

Please note that OPRA requests may incur a special service fee in accordance with N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(c), depending on the nature and volume of the request or if extraordinary time and effort are required to fulfill it.
