Stafford Township, NJ - On November 2, 2024, at approximately 4:45 a.m., Stafford Township Police responded to a report of a shattered glass door at the Manahawkin Shell Tire & Auto located at 700 Route 72 East.  Some time earlier that morning, a suspect had broken the glass door, entered the store, and stole approximately $100 of vaping devices.  Stafford Township Police Detective John Reed initiated an investigation and on November 8th, he signed criminal complaints against 33 year old Robert J. Pawlowski of Manahawkin.  Pawlowski was arrested and charged with Burglary 2C:18-2A(1), Theft 2C:20-3A, and Criminal Mischief 2C:17-3A(1) on a summons with a court appearance to be scheduled by Ocean County Superior Court.

As a reminder, the Stafford Township Police Department does not release arrest photos of the defendants.   All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
