Stafford Township, NJ – On December 23rd, 2024, at approximately 3:37 P.M., a vehicle fire was reported on Gregg Drive in the Beach Haven West section of town. Upon arrival, it was determined there was no active fire; however, an explosion had occurred inside a plumbing/heating work utility van.
Preliminary investigation suggests the incident was accidental, with no evidence of foul play. One male victim has been transported to the hospital with injuries that are currently unknown.
Stafford EMS and Stafford Fire promptly responded to the scene. Authorities have assured residents there is no ongoing danger in the area. A Stafford Fire Inspector remains on-site, conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the explosion.
