Stafford Township, NJ – On January 9, 2025, at approximately 10:00 P.M., Daquan Nieves, 28 years old of Middle Branch Drive, Forked River, NJ, was placed under arrest on the strength of a Stafford Township Municipal Court warrant for stealing approximately $1,793 of merchandise from Shoprite located at 297 Route 72 West in Manahawkin over a period of approximately two months in forty three separate incidents. Nieves was transported to police headquarters, charged with Shoplifting 2C:20-11, and transported to the Ocean County Jail to appear in Ocean County Superior Court at a later date. Officer Michael McMurry was the arresting officer.
