Stafford Township, NJ- On May 23, 2025, following a months-long investigation into employee-related theft, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Corey T. Bass, age 49, of Southwind Drive in Waretown, New Jersey. 

In October, 2024, it was reported by South Shore Towing, Inc. that Bass had allegedly used company funds for personal use between 2023 and 2024. 

Investigation conducted by the Stafford Township Police Detective Bureau led to a warrant being issued Bass. He was charged with one count each of: 2^nd Degree Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 20-3a and 3^rd Degree Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-3a.  He was arrested and lodged in Ocean County Jail.
