Stafford Township, NJ - On Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, at approximately 6:30 PM, the Stafford Township Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) was conducting surveillance at the Walmart in Manahawkin. While conducting surveillance the DEU observed a male subject they were familiar with identified as 48-year-old Kevin A. Gallagher of Texas Avenue in Atlantic City, NJ. Gallagher was found to have seven active outstanding warrants for his arrest out of numerous jurisdictions.
Gallagher was ultimately arrested on the strength of the warrants and during a search incident to arrest, the DEU recovered a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Ultimately, Gallagher was charged with 2C:35-10A(1) Possession of Methamphetamine (3rd degree crime), two counts of 2C:36-2A Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (disorderly persons offense), and 2C:35-10C Failure to Make Lawful Disposition of a Controlled Dangerous Substance to Police (disorderly persons offense).
After being processed at Stafford Township Police Department, Gallagher was transported to Ocean County Jail awaiting a detention hearing by the Ocean County Superior Court.
