Stafford Township, NJ – Further investigation in the Dicks Sporting Goods shoplifting incident that occurred on October 28th led to the following:
On October 29, 2024, at approximately 2:00 PM, Qawi Brown (36 years old of Pennsylvania Avenue in Pine Beach, NJ) was placed under arrest for his involvement in the theft of over $4000 of merchandise from Dicks Sporting Goods in Manahawkin. Brown was charged with Shoplifting 2C:20-11, and released with a criminal complaint summons to appear in Ocean County Superior Court. Officer Zac Halliday was the arresting officer.
As a reminder, the Stafford Township Police Department does not release arrest photos of defendants. All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
