19 Charges on Fleeing Car Burglar Arrest

Stafford Township, NJ – On December 13, 2025, at approximately 12:00 P.M., the Stafford Township Police Department responded to the area of Southern Regional High School for a report of a suspicious male attempting to break into motor vehicles in the school parking lot. 

Witnesses provided a description and related that he was last seen walking in the direction of Route 9. Patrol officers immediately responded to the area and began canvassing for the suspect.  Shortly thereafter, patrol officers located a male resembling the suspect’s description near the intersection of Route 9 and Hilliard Boulevard. As patrol officers attempted to approach him, the suspect fled into a wooded area, prompting a brief foot pursuit. The suspect was subsequently apprehended by patrol officers and was identified as Bradley Stanley (39 years old of East Bay Avenue in Manahawkin, NJ). 

A follow-up investigation conducted by the Stafford Township Police Department Detective Bureau revealed that Stanley was in possession of multiple burglar tools, assorted stolen property, and a stun gun. Detectives were also able to identify several victims and successfully return the stolen property to its rightful owners.

Stanley was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He faces the following charges:

One count of 3rd Degree Burglary in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:18-2A(1)

One count of 3rd Degree Fraudulent use of a Credit Card in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:21-6H

One count of 4th Degree Credit Card Theft in violation of 2C:21-6C(2)

One count of 4th Degree Prohibited Weapons and Devices in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:39-3H

One count of 4th Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:39-5D

One count of 4th Degree Certain Persons not to have Weapons in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:39-7A

One count of 4th Degree Resisting Arrest in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:29-2A(2)

Five counts of Disorderly Persons Possessing Burglar’s Tools in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:5-5A(1)

Seven counts of Disorderly Persons Theft by Unlawful Taking in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:20-3A

Stanley was processed and lodged in Ocean County Jail with a criminal complaint warrant to appear in Ocean County Superior Court. Patrolman Theodore Caporrino was the arresting officer assisted by Detective Zac Halliday, Patrolman Nicholas Racanelli, and SRO Albert Haldenwang. 

As a reminder, the Stafford Township Police Department does not release arrest photos of defendants. All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
