Stafford Township, NJ - On January 7th, 2026 at approximately 11:35 PM, Patrolman Barbuto conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 near Rodeo Drive on a black Volkswagen Jetta, due to the registered owner of the vehicle (Mark E. Wixler 48-year-old-male of Blaine Avenue in Seaside Heights, NJ), having a $1000.02 warrant out of Robbinsville Township Municipal Court. 

During the traffic stop, Patrolman Barbuto was able to identify the driver as Mark E. Wixler. A search incident to arrest revealed Wixler to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Further investigation led to the discovery of several glass smoking devices in the vehicle.  Additionally, officers observed burnt residue on the inside of the smoking devices, which was suspected to be crack cocaine. 

Wixler posted partial bail for his warrant out of Robbinsville Township and was given a new date to appear in court. Wixer was ultimately charged with one count of Possession of Drug Paraphrenalia (2C:36-2) and one count of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (2C:35-10). Additionally, Wixler was issued a traffic citation for a traffic offense. Wixler was lodged at Ocean County Jail on a warrant to appear in Ocean County Superior Court. Patrolman Barbuto was the arresting officer.
