Stafford Township, NJ – On April 29, 2025, the Stafford Township Detective Bureau concluded a stolen credit card investigation which led to the arrest of Katelyn S. Lang (28 years old of Forest Avenue in Browns Mills, NJ). During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Lang had stolen the aforementioned credit card from the victim on March 16, 2025 which was later used to purchase assorted items from Costco located at 245 Stafford Park Boulevard on March 17, 2025 in the amount of approximately $995.00.
Lang responded to police headquarters to turn herself in and was placed under arrest. She faces the following charges:
- One count 3rd Degree Theft by Unlawful Taking (N.J.S.A 2C:20-3A)
- One count 4th Degree Credit Card Theft (N.J.S.A 2C:21-6C(1)
- One count 3rd Degree Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card (N.J.S.A 2C:21-6H)
Lang was released with a criminal complaint summons to appear in Ocean County Superior Court. Detective Zac Halliday was the arresting officer.
