Stafford Township, NJ — On Thursday, December 4, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Stafford Township Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested Andrew J. Albanese, a 54-year-old male from Cedar Lane in Eagleswood, NJ, following an interaction at the Cedar Run Apartments located on Route 9 in Manahawkin. Albanese had three active warrants for his arrest at the time of the encounter. During a search incident to the arrest, officers recovered a quantity of suspected Suboxone from his person.
As a result of the investigation, Albanese was charged with N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1), possession of a Schedule III controlled dangerous substance without a prescription, a third-degree offense. After being processed at the Stafford Township Police Department, he was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he was lodged pending further court proceedings.
