  • Complete I. Identification block on Page 1
  • Complete Certification in Lieu of Oath on page 2
  • If homeowner is performing the work, complete Owner Section I, items B, C and D
  • If the contractor is performing the work, the contractor must complete Agent Section II (to be completed if the applicant is not the owner in fee)

If applicable, the contractor must have NJ Plumbing Contractors License, NJ Electrical Contractors License and/or Home Improvement Contractors License issued by the state of New Jersey.


Complete The Appropriate Technical Subcode Application


Building


  • Technical Identification Block, (Section A)
  • Certification in Lieu of Oath, (Section C)
  • Description of Work, (Section D)

Electrical


  • Technical Identification Block, (Section A)
  • Certification in Lieu of Oath, (Section C)
  • Check either Licensed Electrical Contractor and provide seal or Exempt Applicant (Homeowner) Description of Work, (Section D)

Plumbing


  • Technical Identification Block, (Section A)
  • Certification in Lieu of Oath, (Section C)
  • Check either Licensed Plumbing Contractor and provide seal or Exempt Applicant (Homeowner) Description of Work, (Section D)

Fire Protection


  • Technical Identification Block, (Section A)
  • Certification in Lieu of Oath, (Section C)

Siding & Roof

  • Replacement of siding and/or roofing on a one or two family detached dwelling does not require a construction permit. This work is considered ordinary maintenance.
